The average consumer mistakenly thinks that only large windshield chips can cause the windshield to further crack. The curing process works best when it is controlled. A ultra-violet lamp preferred over weaker sun rays to cure the resin. Your windshield damage should be permanently bonded and as strong as it ever was.

Just like any other craft, you should not expect every windshield repair technician to perform at the same level. Choose well who you will use.

We are often told that the chip was behaving until it suddenly grew into a shinny long line. At this point, it could be too late for a proper windshield repair. Most automotive glass companies replace cracked and some chipped windshields rather than spending more of their limited time and effort repairing windshields.

At Superb Windshield Repair, this is the first month that we have repaired more windshield long-cracks than windshield chips. This increase was mainly due to customers’ procrastination.
